In-home services are offered within San Francisco city limits.  If you would like to schedule a massage for your pet and live outside the area you're more than welcome to bring them for treatment at Pet Food Express' Market Street store.  I'm there twice a month and no appointment is necessary.  Please refer to the Pet Food Express section on the Regular Schedule page for current dates.

    My Qualifications

I hold a certification in Small Animal Massage Therapy as well as 
standard and advanced certifications in Human Massage Therapy and
Bodywork. I've been in private practice for over 15 years.

My academic background includes studies in Eastern and Western 
Medicine, Holistic and Complementary therapies as well as internships
with 2 therapists trained in shamanic practices.

    Why My Work Has Gone To The Dogs 

It was when dogs started approaching me and leaning or pushing with parts
of their body that were apparently causing them discomfort that I began to  
look at them in the way I was trained to look at a human body. Paying 
attention to the form and structure, and how that translates into efficient 
and comfortable movement.

What struck me is how many dogs are doing what they're dedicated to doing -
running, jumping, working, playing and keeping us company - while in pain.
Of course they can't tell us they have a stiff shoulder or that their knee
hurts, and unless there's an obvious change in their behavior it's easy to
assume that they're fine. Unlike humans, they don't complain. Instead they 
quietly and willingly adapt to move around the problem.

Canine Massage, in all its forms, is designed to detect, alleviate, and prevent  
recurrence of the conditions that keep your pet from enjoying the freedom of 
movement they were designed to have.
